If you separated from active duty and were placed in the IRR — or if you're not even sure whether you're still in it — you're not alone. Most IRR members never hear from anyone about what's available to them.
No one explains the benefits of affiliating with the Selected Reserve, the drill pay you could be collecting, or the retirement points that are sitting on the table. Whether you served in the Navy or another branch, the IRR works mostly the same way — and the Navy Reserve may be an option you didn't know about. Prior-service members from any branch can affiliate with the right paperwork.
I'm not going to pretend I know your situation. But a 15-minute conversation is usually enough to figure out whether the Reserve makes sense for where you are right now. If it does, I'll show you exactly how it works. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that.
